French Embassy - Economic Mission

Located on the verdant French diplomatic campus in Hoan Kiem central district in Hanoi is the new 700 m2 office building for the Economic Mission of the French Embassy, Vietnam. The new building integrates seamlessly into its surroundings, whilst preserving the old trees and green spaces. The Embassy building is extended, on top of the existing car park which has been reorganised and enlarged. The new building is treated as an independent and contemporary construction, with the office area divided into 2 levels. Being located at a busy crossroad and having a main façade exposed to the West, the building is designed with special attention regarding both acoustical and thermal protection. The ventilated cladding facade system, associated to an external insulation, gives the building a distinctive appearance and quality.
