The Grand hotel d’Angkor was built in 1932 and reopened in 1997 as part of the Raffles Hotels and Resorts as the only high end hotel in Siem Reap. Due to growing competition, Raffles has decided to upgrade guestrooms and to offer the possibility of having ball room and meeting facilities. The architectural style has been specifically designed to complement the existing façade, with the refurbishment of the west wing into superior suites, the construction of a new building including a 300 m² ball room, together with separate kitchen and additional back of the house facilities.
