The Sofia New Urban Development is set to cover 19 ha in the new urban area of Sofia the capital of Bulgaria, for the developer Akropolis. In order to provide a high quality design in a cost-efficient way, Archetype Group and the Equator Network have joined their resources by forming a multi-disciplinary team including urban planners, architects, transportation consultants and engineers, that work together to deliver a comprehensive and global urban project. Located on a former industrial site close to the city centre, the project consists of two stages:
- Stage 1: mixed-use development including a commercial complex, office and residential towers;
- Stage 2: new urban area including residential and office buildings, and areas dedicated to services for residents.
