PHNOM PENH WATER SUPPLY GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM
This project is to provide water supply geographic information system in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The coverage area expanded dramatically since 2000, following a very dynamic urban growth. Every year, about 140 km of distribution pipes are laid and 15,000 new connections are created. The current network comprises about 1,700 km of pipes and 245,000 connections.
PPWSA has rapidly increased its supply capacity and expanded water services to serve a population of approximately 1,500,000 people in the urban and suburban areas of the city. The average daily demand was about 80 MLD1 in 2001, and it is currently over 400 MLD.
GIS Cart@jour KIS is built on a component-based architecture to ensure:

The proposed solution is based on an inter operable Web architecture. Indeed, KIS integrates the standards and specifications of the OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium).
On the server side, the concept of our architecture is based on a standardization of exchanges between client modules and server. This software layer can extend unlimited opportunities for client-side extensions and totally masks the business aspects encapsulated in software components of the server.
