Two Archetype China engineers are now accredited EDGE Experts
Jia Liu and Haoyun Mao, engineers at Archetype China, are now accredited EDGE Experts. Jia brings 13 years of plumbing design experience. Haoyun has more than 11 years of electrical engineering experience across a wide range of projects.
What is EDGE?
EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is a green building certification developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). It sets measurable targets for reducing energy use, water consumption and the embodied energy in building materials.
How do plumbing and electrical engineering support EDGE targets?
The two new Experts cover two of the three EDGE targets. Plumbing design shapes how a building uses water. Electrical design shapes how it uses energy.
