On September 12, the members of the Real Estate & Construction Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia re-elected Mr. Michel Cassagnes as the chairman of the committee.
Mr. Cassagnes is the Regional Managing Director of Archetype Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. He’s been with Archetype Group for almost 19 years now.
He will sit as the chairman of the EuroCham committee until September 2024. He is joined by an equally reliable team of “pillars” — Mr. Ross Wheble as Vice-Chairman for the Real Estate Pillar, Knight Frank, Mr. Pak Serge for the Supplier Pillar, Beton block et Pavé, and Mr. Lawrence Lennon for the Construction Pillar, CBRE.
Archetype Cambodia is committed to supporting the efforts and initiatives of the committee at EuroCham in Cambodia. The goal is to improve the Cambodian construction standards, build relationships between key players in the country, as well as public-private dialogue.
Some of Mr. Cassagnes’s responsibilities include raising the profile of Cambodia in the EU real estate and construction community and the profile of the EU in the Cambodian real estate and construction community. He will also lead the committee to constructively engage the Royal Government of Cambodia in order to promote the adoption of higher standards for engineering, construction, building, and safety inspired by European best practices. Additionally, he is to advocate with the Royal Government of Cambodia in respect of EU investment opportunities for the EU real estate and construction community in Cambodia.
